Maruti Suzuki has been pretty busy lately updating the S-Presso every now and then. Not too long ago, the Indian carmaker discontinued the standard variants which offered a single airbag making dual airbags standard across all variants. This move led to the discontinuation of six variants including Std, LXi, LXi CNG, VXi, VXi AMT, and VXi CNG. Now, Maruti has updated the S-Presso with a more refined engine for improved fuel efficiency and also added a few more features.

What’s new?
The updated S-Presso is now 17 percent more efficient in the AMT guise and around 14 percent more efficient in the manual variants. The updated 1.0-liter K-series Dual Jet Dual VVT petrol engine produces 66 hp at 5,500 rpm and 89 Nm of peak torque at 3,500 rpm. Speaking of numbers, it delivers 25.30 km/l in the Vxi(O) and Vxi(O)+ AGS trims, 24.76 km/l in the Vxi/Vxi+ manual trims, and 24.12 km/l in the Std and Lxi manual trims. The improved efficiency is thanks to the idle start/stop technology.

Maruti has also added Electronic Stability Program and Hill Hill Assist as standard across all AMT variants. The top-end Vxi+ and Vxi+(O) variants now get electrically adjustable outside mirrors. The updated S-Presso is priced between ₹4.25 lakh and ₹5.99 lakh. This makes it around ₹25,000 costlier than the previous iteration. Other than this, the S-Presso remains the same as before. It gets steering-mounted audio and voice controls, with an advanced Smartplay Studio system for music, entertainment, and navigation. It also features a user-friendly user interface with features such as Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and other Smartplay Studio Apps.
