Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has launched its 14th offering in the S-CNG range. The Grand Vitara S-CNG will be available at a starting price of ₹12.85L ex-showroom. Customers now have three options with the Grand Vitara namely – the mild hybrid, the strong hybrid and S-CNG
Price
The Grand Vitara S-CNG will be based on the Delta and Zeta variants of the regular petrol variants. However, these will be available only with the manual transmission and the prices for the same are as below:
- Grand Vitara S-CNG Delta: ₹12.85 L
- Grand Vitara S-CNG Zeta: ₹14.84 L
Consumers can also subscribe to the car starting at ₹30,723 per month.
Power
The Grand Vitara S-CNG will be powered by the same K-Series 1.5L, dual jet, VTVT petrol engine that produces 100.6 PS power and 136 Nm torque in its petrol form. While running on green gas, the engine will produce 87.83 PS and 121.5 Nm torque. The CNG fuel economy is claimed at 26.6 km/kg.
Safety & Features
There is no change in the safety and feature list. The consumers will get the same kit with the corresponding mild hybrid variants. Having said that, the Grand Vitara S-CNG is the only CNG SUV in the segment to offer 6-airbags on the higher variant. The feature list also includes Suzuki’s SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment system, Wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto, along with 40+ connected features.
