Maruti Suzuki Enhances Brezza Appeal with Feature-Packed Urbano Edition

Maruti Suzuki is set to introduce a special edition of its popular Brezza compact SUV, aiming further to strengthen its position against rivals like the Nexon. Christened the Brezza Urbano, this edition will focus on enhancing the appeal of the LXi and VXi variants by bundling additional features at an attractive price point.

Top Highlights

Leaked information reveals a comprehensive list of upgrades for the Urbano Edition. The LXi variant gets a significant feature boost with a reverse parking camera, touchscreen infotainment system with speakers, fog lamps, front and rear skid plates, body side molding, wheel arch cladding, and garnishes for the grille and fog lamps.

The VXi Urbano, meanwhile, receives a more subtle feature upgrade. This includes 3D floor mats, a reverse parking camera if not already equipped, fog lamps (if not already equipped), body side molding, number plate frames, a wheel arch kit, and metal sill guards. Additionally, customers can opt for a dashboard upgrade.

Powertrain Options

The Brezza Urbano Edition will cater to a wider range of preferences by offering both petrol and CNG options for the LXi and VXi variants. The LXi will come with a 1.5-liter petrol manual transmission (MT) and CNG MT, while the VXi will offer a wider selection with 1.5-liter petrol MT, petrol automatic transmission (AT), and CNG MT.

It’s unclear whether existing Brezza owners can avail of the Urbano upgrades. The base ex-showroom price of the Brezza will remain unchanged without the Urbano Edition, starting from Rs 8.34 lakh. Here’s a breakdown of the expected pricing for the Urbano package itself:

  • LXi Variant: The Urbano package is priced at Rs. 26,149. However, customers can avail of a special introductory discount, bringing the price down to Rs. 3,500.
  • VXi Variant: The Urbano package for the VXi variant is expected to be more expensive at Rs. 52,370. But with the introductory discount, customers can get it for Rs. 15,000.

This translates to a significant saving of Rs. 27,000 for the LXi variant and Rs. 37,000 for the VXi variant if you opt for the Urbano Edition package.
