The Mahindra group is surely very serious about its two wheelers business. The auto maker made a lot of news when it unveiled the Mojo 300cc performance motorcycle. While the Mojo hasn’t yet hit the production stage, the bike maker was seen commencing its innings with products aimed at the commuter segments.
Currently, Mahindra Two Wheelers sells an automatic scooter and a commuter bike which cater to the entry level segments of Indian bike market.
Now, it is being said that Mahindra Two Wheelers could be working on a 150cc motorcycle for Indian market. The new motorcycle from Mahindra might be launched before the end of the first quarter of next year. The launch might happen soon after that of the new Mahindra Mojo 300.
Not much is known about the upcoming 150cc bike from Mahindra but our guess is that the bike would come at an attractive starting price and would offer a long features list and engine specs that would be at par with the competition.
It may be noted that Mahindra Two Wheelers wishes to grab a big chunk of sales in the two wheeler industry and we reported in detail when the new bike maker announced that it plans to enter every segment of the Indian bike market. The announcement came at the back of the unveiling of the Pantero and Centuro 110cc motorcycles. Other than the Mojo 300cc performance motorcycle and the rumoured 150cc executive commuter motorcycle, the Indian two wheeler manufacturer also plans to come up with more variants of its automatic scooter.
