Mahindra has launched the new E-Alfa Super Rickshaw in the market. The new electric vehicle is priced at Rs. 1.61 Lakhs Ex-showroom. With this launch, the automaker has added another electric 3-wheeler to its lineup.
Highlights of Mahindra E-Alfa Super Rickshaw
The design of the new electric 3-wheeler is boxy and simple. It gets a metal framed structure, round headlights with turn indicators, Large Windshield, and a black soft top. Also, it gets black highlights and wipers which adds to the convenience of the driver. However, the safety features include an advanced braking system and roof-mounted grab handles.
The new E-Alfa Super Rickshaw gets the 140Ah Lead Acid Battery Pack. With this battery pack, Mahindra claims that the new rickshaw delivers 20% more range than before. Meanwhile, the 3-wheeler gets an electric motor that produces 1.64kW of power and 22nm of torque. With this powertrain setup, the electric vehicle has a claimed range of over 95 km on a single charge.
About the Insurance Cover and Charging Details
As per the automaker, the E-Alfa has 50,000 customers in the market. The reason for its sales is the design of the vehicle which is suitable for daily rough usage. For improving the ownership experience, Mahindra will offer free accidental insurance worth ₹10 Lakh. This accidental cover will be provided with the purchase of every E-Rickshaw to the driver.
The new Mahindra E-Alfa comes with a supreme 18A charger which reduces the charging time and increases productivity. Also, Mahindra is offering a 12-month warranty on the vehicle’s battery charger. In terms of EV Infrastructure, Mahindra has approx. 10,000 EV Charging Stations in the country.
Mahindra E-Alfa Super Rickshaw: Pricing and Warranty Details
The new Mahindra E-Alfa Super Rickshaw bags a price tag of Rs. 1.61 Lakhs Ex-showroom. However, the availability of the E-Rickshaw depends on the local Govt. approval of the state.
The E-Rickshaw is available with 1-year standard warranty which will ensure comprehensive coverage. Furthermore, the automaker is providing 18 months of battery warranty for a better ownership experience. The E-Rickshaw can be serviced at any of the 1,150 touchpoints across the country.
