Mahindra has dropped another teaser of the highly anticipated Thar Roxx, the five-door version of its iconic off-roader. Set to launch on August 15, the Thar Roxx promises to build upon the success of its three-door sibling while offering enhanced practicality and comfort.
A New Silhouette
The latest teaser provides a clearer look at the Thar Roxx’s profile, revealing its significantly elongated wheelbase. The additional length accommodates two extra doors, transforming the Thar into a five-door SUV. The exterior boasts a refreshed design with new LED headlights, a redesigned grille, and circular fog lights. Dual-tone ORVMs, 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, and contrasting silver accents elevate the SUV’s appearance.
Interior Upgrades Expected
While specific details about the interior are still under wraps, the Thar Roxx is expected to feature a more premium cabin. A larger touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, dual-tone climate controls, and a panoramic sunroof are likely to be offered on higher trims.
Powertrain Options
Under the hood, the Thar Roxx is expected to retain the engine options from the three-door model, including the 2.0-liter turbo-petrol and 2.2-liter diesel units. However, Mahindra might introduce tweaked versions of these engines to deliver enhanced performance in the larger SUV.
Pricing and Launch
With the addition of features and increased dimensions, the Thar Roxx is anticipated to command a premium over its three-door counterpart. Expect the price range to start from around Rs. 16 lakh and go up to Rs. 22 lakh (ex-showroom). The official launch on August 15 will bring more clarity on pricing, features, and variants.
