Land Rover introduces new Defender Outbound Edition

One of the prominent SUV makers, Land Rover has launched the more versatile Defender Outbound Edition with enhanced utility. The Outbound Edition is based on the long-wheelbase version of the Defender 130. The addition of a new variant depicts the brand’s commitment to catering to more customers seeking off-road adventures.

Land Rover Defender Outbound Edition

Land Rover has introduced the off-road utility-oriented Outbound Edition of the Defender. The exterior profile boasts the Shadow Atlas Matte finished bumpers and grille inserts. Furthermore, the Anthracite side vents, signature panels, and D-Pillar add to its rugged stance. This variant gets additional load-carrying capacity along with a 5-seat layout.

The Defender Outbound gets 2516 liters of boot space with a flat floor for easy loading of cargo. The design of Outbound Edition is accentuated by the 20-inch Gloss Black wheels or optional 22-inch Shadow Atlas Matte wheels. This variant is available in numerous color options like Fuji White, Santorini Black, Carpathian Grey, and Eiger Grey. Moreover, the manufacturer also offers Satin Protective Film to protect the paint on the beaten track.

The Land Rover offers black interiors in the Outbound Edition of Defender and different upholstery options. The buyers can choose from either a full Windsor leather or durable resist fabric. The interior of this variant is finished in Ebony, with an Ebony Morzine headliner, Robustec veneer, and Defender’s signature cross-car beam in Satin Black Powder Coat Brushed finish. The SUV maker offers durable rubber floor mats to protect its bumpers when the SUV is fully loaded.

Powertrain Options

Land Rover Defender Outbound Edition is available with 2 MHEV engine options. The D300 gets a 3.0L 6-cylinder diesel engine churning out 300ps of power and 650nm of torque output. On the other hand, the P400 variant gets a 3.0L 6-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine belting out 400ps of power and 550nm of torque output.

The regular Land Rover Defender 130 is also available with the most powerful D500 variant. In the heart of the matter is a 5.0L Supercharged V8 engine churning out 500ps of power and 610nm of torque output. All of the engines are coupled to an 8-Speed Automatic Transmission and an AWD system.
