Lamborghini Revuelto Sold Out Until Mid-2025

If you’ve been eyeing the Lamborghini Revuelto, you’ll need to wait for quite some time before getting your hands on one. The Italian automaker has announced that their plug-in hybrid supercar is already sold out for more than two years, and it’s an impressive achievement given that the model hasn’t been in production for long.

Lamborghini Trying to Boost Its Production

To meet the demands and ramp up production, Lamborghini made significant investments of $166 million and expanded their Sant’Agata Bolognese facilities by a whopping 172,000 square meters. This expansion allowed them to employ their “Manifattura 4.0” production system, which combines traditional craftsmanship with modern assembly techniques.

The production process for the Revuelto is highly advanced, incorporating a Manufacturing Executive System (MES) where employees are supported by machines at each step. Collaborative robots, known as “cobots,” are used throughout the production lines, reducing errors and inaccuracies in repetitive tasks, such as windshield assembly.

About the Revuelto

Carbon fiber plays a crucial role in the construction of the Revuelto, with the lightweight material being used for both the tub and the body. In fact, the value of carbon fiber processing prompted Lamborghini to expand and upgrade their CFK plant, covering an impressive 16,200 square meters.

Beyond the production details, the Lamborghini Revuelto itself is a jaw-dropping beast. It boasts a naturally-aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine, complemented by three electric motors, an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox, and a lithium-ion battery pack. All these components combine to give the plug-in hybrid supercar an extraordinary output of 1,001 horsepower and a top speed of over 217 mph.

While the sold-out status may come as a disappointment for potential buyers, the wait is undoubtedly worth it for those who manage to secure this powerful and technologically advanced machine. If you’re one of the hopefuls, you might want to mark your calendars for mid-2025, as that’s the earliest chance you might get to own a Lamborghini Revuelto. Until then, get ready to be awestruck by this remarkable feat of automotive engineering!
