Last week, Lamborghini officially revealed the Huracan at the Geneva Motor Show 2014. Now, within a week, Lamborghini has brought down the supercar in India for prospective customer demo purposes. The pics seen here on this page have been clicked at the Mumbai airport.
The Lamborghini Huracan, even before its global debut at the Geneva Motor Show, had clocked more than 700 bookings. The official launch of this Gallardo replacement is still some months away, but the company will be showcasing the car at special events in some cities across India.
Powering this Lambo is a new, naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V10 engine, which produces 602 bhp of max power and 57 kgm of peak torque. The engine sends power to all four wheels via a new seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The Italian supercar maker claims the car completes the 0-100 kmph dash in just 3.2 seconds and has a top whack in excess of 320 kmph. The engine develops 75 % of the total 57 kgm of torque from just a 1000 revvs. Emissions and fuel economy has been also improved over the car it replaces. The 4×4 system is electronically controlled and splits the engine’s torque 30-70 in favor of the rear wheels.
Lamborghini is organizing an exclusive preview of the car at the Four Seasons Hotel in Worli, Mumbai this weekend. Later, the car will be taken to Delhi for a similar event. According to Autocar India, the Lamborghini Huracan is priced at INR 3.43 crore (Ex-showroom, Delhi).
