Lamborghini Alpha One phone

Video: Lamborghini Alpha One is an INR 1.6 Lakh Phone for the Raging Bull Buffs

Fancy a Lamborghini? Well, who doesn’t? Though not everyone has enough greenbacks to have one in the garage. Even for the ones privileged enough to own one, the lure of being able to sport matching gear is quite a compelling one. Lamborghini, thus, has come out with an Android phone, priced in the stratosphere for mortals of both kinds. It’s called the Alpha One, retails for $2450 or INR 1.6 lakh, and is available only in the UK and UAE.

Powering this exotically branded machine (no, the specs aren’t too outstanding) is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chip with a 20-MP rear camera, an 8mp front shooter, 4GB RAM (really?) and a fingerprint sensor. Wrapped in premium Italian leather, the phone makes use of a liquid alloy that lends it resistance to abuse from hard, pointy objects.Lamborghini claims that the liquid alloy used here is tougher than not just nails, but tougher even than what we know as Titanium.

The phone also gets dual SIM slots, Dolby speakers and a 3250 mAh battery. At 64 GB, the internal memory isn’t too impressive either, though you can expand it with an external storage – again, not a feature you associate with most premium phones. The screen is a 5.5-inch WQHD unit with the OS version being the Android Nougat.

Lamborghini Vice President Ferrucio Lamborghini asserts that the “Alpha One combines cutting-edge mobile technology and unique features with the inimitable style and design of our brand.”
