KTM 390 Duke Now Gets Cruise Control and New Ebony Black Color

Quick Overview

  • KTM 390 Duke now comes with cruise control as standard.
  • New Ebony Black colorway introduced alongside existing shades.
  • Price remains unchanged at ₹2.95 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

KTM has updated its flagship streetfighter, the 390 Duke, with two major upgrades. The bike now features cruise control as standard and a fresh Ebony Black color option. Despite these additions, the price remains the same at ₹2.95 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The new cruise control assists riders during long highway rides by maintaining a constant speed without throttle input. Riders can control the feature using switches on the left handlebar. The system integrates with the bike’s advanced ABS hardware and engine management, ensuring smoother and more efficient performance.

The Ebony Black color joins the existing Electronic Orange and Atlantic Blue options, providing more choice for enthusiasts. These upgrades align with KTM’s push to offer premium features without raising prices.

Performance and Features

The KTM 390 Duke is powered by a 399cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 46 PS and 39 Nm of torque. Known for its sharp handling and aggressive styling, the bike continues to deliver an engaging riding experience.

The third-generation model already offers fully adjustable suspension, including:

  • Front: Compression and rebound damping.
  • Rear: Rebound damping with preload adjustment.

Riders can switch between Street and Rain ride modes, supported by Motorcycle Traction Control (MTC) and a 3D IMU-enabled cornering traction control system. Other advanced features include:

  • Launch control for quick getaways.
  • Quickshifter+ for seamless gear changes.
  • Cornering ABS and Supermoto ABS for better braking precision.
  • Track Screen displaying racing telemetry.

Market Competition

The updated KTM 390 Duke faces competition from other performance-oriented streetfighters in India:

  • BMW G 310 R – Known for its smooth engine and premium build.
  • TVS Apache RTR 310 – Offers a mix of sporty styling and advanced electronics.

Final Thoughts

KTM’s decision to offer cruise control at the same price strengthens the 390 Duke’s value proposition. With its advanced electronics, potent engine, and aggressive styling, it remains a compelling choice for riders seeking a performance streetfighter. The Ebony Black color adds another layer of appeal to an already feature-rich package.
