Our ancestors were crazy and they were cool. If you need proof, feel free to visit Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh, which is about 620 kilometres southeast of New Delhi. The monuments at Khajuraho are famous for their Nagara-style architectural symbolism, their exotic sculptures and they are on the UNESCO World Heritage Sites list in India. From the 5th to 7th of December, 2014, over 300 Harley-Davidson owners from across 13 H.O.G. ® Chapters are all set to ride to the iconic world heritage site, bringing the sculptures and the temples to life with the roar from their exhausts.
In this edition, a fascinating experience amidst the rich cultural heritage of India awaits riders from across all 13 H.O.G. Chapters – some from as far as Chennai and Kochi. The 3rd Eastern H.O.G. Rally, organized exclusively by and for Harley owners, will see an exciting line-up of activities. These include a custom motorcycle zone, an arm wrestling competition, workshops on pre-ride motorcycle maintenance, a fusion music night and the signature H.O.G. Custom Contest where riders show-off their creativity and passion that they have put into their motorcycles.
“Madhya Pradesh has always had a great motorcycling culture and terrain. Since the launch of Tiger Harley-Davidson, our Indore dealership in September 2013, we have seen this culture grow as we welcome more and more Harley owners into the fold. This is the first time the Tiger Chapter is hosting a Zonal H.O.G. Rally. We are looking forward to meeting our brothers from across India and giving them a taste of authentic Madhya Pradesh hospitality”, said Manish Gupta, Dealer Principal Tiger Harley-Davidson.
The Harley Owners Group (H.O.G. ®) in India encompasses the true spirit of brotherhood and camaraderie, something that the brand is renowned for world over. Every year, an increasing number of Harley-Davidson owners are participating in zonal H.O.G. ® rallies conducted at regular intervals, for riders to meet, ride, and experience adventure, self-expression and the freedom of open roads.
