Jupiter Wagons to Debut at the Auto Expo

Jupiter Wagons Ltd. (JWL), a prominent manufacturer of wagons, brake systems, brake discs for high-speed passenger coaches, and railway and engineering equipment is all set to showcase and launch its Commercial Electric Vehicles.

With the introduction of its electric vehicles at the Auto Expo – The Motor Show 2023, Jupiter Wagons (JWL), a leading producer of wagons, brake systems and brake discs for high-speed passenger coaches, as well as railway and engineering equipment, will make its debut in the Indian commercial vehicle industry.

JWL announced its entry into the EV market in May of this year with the introduction of “Jupiter Electric Mobility,” which focuses on commercial EVs. In order to better serve the passenger and freight transportation markets, the firm has partnered with Canadian company GreenPower Motors. Commercial electric vehicles will fall under the LCV category and range in weight from 2.2 tonnes to 7 tonnes.

In order to meet after-sales needs for a seamless customer experience, Jupiter Electric Mobility plans to manufacture the e-CV range in India and establish service facilities in important markets.

One of the top companies offering whole mobility solutions is Jupiter Wagons Group. The company’s wide-ranging product line includes locos, passenger coaches (LHB), metro coaches, couplers, draught gear, bogies, and cms crossings. Indian railways, American railroads, Indian defense companies, national and international wagon leasing companies, manufacturers of construction equipment and heavy vehicles, municipalities, and the health-care sector, as well as the energy, mining, and infrastructure sectors, make up the customer profile.

Its customers include organizations like the Ministry of Defense, Tata Motors, Volvo Eicher Motors, Bharat Benz, and Avia Motors. For its entry into the market for electric commercial vehicles, the company has also teamed with Log 9 Materials and American Axle among others.

Through an acquisition, JWL recently completed a reverse merger with CEBBCO (Commercial Engineers & Body Builders Company Ltd.) and went public. With the introduction of Jupiter Electric Mobility (JEM), which focuses on commercial EV vehicles, it also entered the electric mobility sector.

A joint venture between the business and EA GreenPower Private Ltd, a fully owned subsidiary of GreenPower Motor Company Inc., has been established. By promoting safety and sustainability in the EV market, JWL hopes to align the technology assets of the two companies through its JV with GreenPower.
