July 2023 is one of the best months for the Indian Automobile Industry. Several automakers have registered good growth in their sales. In this article, we have mentioned the complete sales analysis of all car manufacturers:
July 2023 Sales: Maruti Suzuki
Maruti Suzuki posted a total sales of 1,81,630 units in July 2023. With these numbers, the carmaker has registered a minor YoY growth, compared to the 1,75,916 units in July 2022.
As per the carmaker, the SUVs have the highest sales contribution to their business growth. All the SUVs including Brezza, Ertiga, Fronx, Grand Vitara, Invicto, Jimny, S-Cross, and XL6 achieve sales of 62,049 units. This segment registered a massive growth of 266% against 23,272 units last year.
In July 2023, the carmaker also posted growth in its total export sales. Maruti Suzuki has posted export sales of 22,199 units this month. These numbers are slightly higher than the 20,311 units of the last year.
July 2023 Sales: Hyundai
Hyundai India posted a total sales of 66,701 units in July 2023. These numbers include both the domestic and export sales of their passenger vehicles.
This represents that the carmaker has sold more cars than in July 2022 with sales of 63,851 units. With these numbers, the carmaker has registered a minor YoY growth of 4.46%.
Meanwhile, the carmaker posted domestic sales of 50,701 units in July 2023. The total export sales of the company are 16,000 units in July 2023 with 19.84% growth over the last year.
The SUVs have a good contribution to the sales numbers of the company. The addition of Exter has made the lineup stronger followed by Creta, Venue, Tucson, Alcazar, etc.
July 2023 Sales: Tata Motors
Tata Motors has registered a combined total sales of 78,844 units. It represents a minor growth in their YoY sales volume. It includes all segments like IC Passenger Vehicles, Commercial Vehicles, Electric Vehicles, etc.
The carmaker sold 47,628 units in the passenger vehicle segment in July 2023. The EV Sales of Tata Motors are 6,329 units with a major contribution from Tiago EV. In the IC engine lineup, the Tiago, Nexon, and Punch have performed well in sales.
Talking about the international numbers, the total contribution of the carmaker’s International PV business is 61 units this year. It represents a major drop of 153% against 131 units last year.
July 2023 Sales: Mahindra and Mahindra
Mahindra and Mahindra have registered a total sales of 66,124 units this year. However, the company achieved domestic sales of 36,205 units this year. These numbers are the highest monthly sales for the company to date with 29% growth over the last year.
Meanwhile, the majority of the sales are contributed by the SUVs like Thar, Scorpio twins, XUV300, XUV700, and Bolero twins.
However, the company has registered a drop of 9.2% in its export sales this month. The company has exported a total of 2,540 units against the 2,798 units in July 2022.
July 2023 Sales: Toyota
This year, Toyota has registered a total sales of 21,911 units including both domestic and export sales. Out of these, the domestic sales of the company stood at 20,759 units while export sales are 1,152 units. This means that the company has recorded a growth of 10% than the sales of the last year.
Moreover, the company has posted a monthly growth of 12% against the 19608 units in June 2023. The majority of the sales of the company are contributed by the Glanza and Urban Cruiser Hyryder. It is further followed by the Innova twins and the Fortuner.
July 2023 Sales: MG Motors
MG Motor India has recorded a total sales of 5,012 units this year. It means that the company has achieved a YoY growth of 25% against 4,013 units last year.
Moreover, the company posted a monthly sales growth of 27.2% in July 2023 with 5,012 units. The carmaker sold 3,941 units in June 2023.
The Sales numbers are well contributed by the Comet EV, ZS EV, and Hector twins. While the Astor manages to sell in decent numbers. But the Gloster manages with triple-digit numbers.
