It has by now become a well known fact that Korean auto giant Hyundai has been busy readying a mini SUV that could rival the very successful Ford EcoSport and Renault Duster.
Recently, we posted some spy pics and a speculative rendering of the upcoming car and what we have today is yet another set of speculative renderings from Brazilian publication Auto Esporte.
As per the renderings seen here, the upcoming Hyundai compact SUV could borrow plenty of styling cues from the Hyundai Curb concept.
The front fascia would sport Hyundai’s hexagonal grill and edgy headlamps. The rear could appear even more striking, with a wrap around rear windscreen, a la Ford EcoSport you may say. The tail lights could extend all the way into the rear fenders. Dimensionally, the car would slot in between the Renault Duster and the Ford EcoSport, a bit more towards the EcoSport to be precise.
Nothing much is known about the engine options for this car but we do expect that the Korean manufacturer would offer its new range of compact petrol and diesel engines. One of these motors could be the new 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine details of which Hyundai unveiled last year. This engine could snatch some limelight away from the much hyped Ford EcoBoost engine.
Hyundai’s EcoSport challenger is expected to make its debut sometime late next year and it is pretty much for sure that the car is headed our way. Stay tuned to Motoroids for more on the upcoming Hyundai mini SUV.
