Indian Motorcycle Unveils Limited Edition Roadmaster Elite at Rs 71.82 Lakh

Indian Motorcycle has unveiled the Roadmaster Elite in India at a staggering price of Rs 71.82 lakh (ex-showroom), positioning it as one of the most expensive motorcycles available in the country. This limited-edition model boasts a global production cap of just 350 units, ensuring its exclusivity.

Design and Aesthetics

The Roadmaster Elite boats a tri-tone paint scheme, featuring striking red and black accents, pays homage to the iconic red hue of 1904 Indian motorcycles. Gold-colored lettering, logos, and 10-spoke diamond-cut alloy wheels further elevate its premium appeal. Elite branding graces the engine, fuel tank, and footrests, underscoring its limited-edition status.

Other design highlights include a gloss black dash, blacked-out windscreen, and hand-painted golden pinstripes that complement the color-matched seats. The bike’s 10-spoke diamond-cut alloy wheels are wrapped in Metzeler Cruisetec tires, while the spacious saddlebags and top box offer a combined 136 liters of lockable storage.

Technology and Features

The Roadmaster Elite is equipped with a 7-inch TFT display that integrates Apple CarPlay and turn-by-turn navigation. A comprehensive LED lighting system, including cornering LEDs, enhances visibility. The bike’s audio experience is elevated by a 12-speaker system integrated into the front fairing.

Powertrain and Performance

Powering this behemoth is an air-cooled, 1890cc V-twin engine that delivers a robust 170Nm of torque at 2,900 rpm. Despite its impressive power output, the Roadmaster Elite’s substantial weight of 412kg positions it as a grand touring motorcycle prioritizing comfort over outright performance. The suspension setup consists of a telescopic fork and an air-adjustable mono-shock while braking duties are handled by dual front discs and a single rear disc.

The motorcycle’s generous 20.8-liter fuel tank further underscores its capability for extended journeys. As a testament to its heritage, the Roadmaster Elite joins Indian Motorcycle’s impressive lineup in India, which includes the Scout, Chieftain, Springfield, and Chief models.
