Made in India Volkswagen Taigun Earns a Full 5-Star Rating in Latin NCAP

Volkswagen has prioritized safety in the development of its new models, recognizing the increasingly stringent safety standards. In today’s automotive landscape, it is critical for car manufacturers to invest significantly in safety to create successful, durable models like the Volkswagen Taigun and the Volkswagen Virtus.

The Importance of Safety in Volkswagen’s new models. Volkswagen understands that safety is crucial when it comes to designing and producing vehicles. Since this was the philosophy behind the India specific MQB-IN platform upon which the Taigun is made.

Volkswagen Taigun

The Volkswagen Taigun has once again proven to be one of the safest cars to buy in India, as it has achieved a full 5-star rating in the Latin NCAP test. This is an impressive accomplishment for Volkswagen India, even though the Taigun test mule used in the Latin NCAP test was equipped with 6-airbags, electronic stability program, and autonomous emergency braking. Earlier the Taigun had scored 5-star rating in the Global NCAP crash test.

With the upcoming operationalization of the Bharat NCAP facility, we expect that Volkswagen will eagerly seek to validate their claims on home turf by testing the Taigun. This presents an opportunity for Volkswagen to demonstrate the safety standards of the Taigun in accordance with the Indian market and regulations.
