Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Asta CNG launched at Rs. 8.45 lakh

Hyundai has launched the Grand i10 Nios CNG in the top-end CNG avatar. Priced at ₹8.45 lakh, this variant is around ₹92,000 more expensive than the non-CNG Asta variant. It has been a recent trend of launching CNG cars in their higher variants. Previously, CNG variants were limited to mid variants due to lesser demand for the higher variants but now customers demand more features in their CNG cars.

The Grand i10 Nios was previously available only in the Magna and Sportz trims. The Magna variant comes at Rs. 7,16,100 while the Sportz variant had a price tag of Rs. 7,69,800. Both these variants are priced around 1 lakh higher than their petrol variants. The Grand i10 Nios Asta CNG gets its power from a 1.2-liter NA petrol engine producing 68 hp and 95.2 Nm torque, which comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The power of the CNG variant is lesser by 14 HP and torque by 19 Nm than the regular petrol variants.

The Grand i10 Nios Asta CNG shares the same features as the regular petrol manual Asta trim. Which include projector headlamps, 15-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, rear chrome garnish, rear washer/wiper, LED DRLs, ORVMs with electric fold and integrated turn indicators, roof rails, blacked out pillars, and shark fin antenna at the exterior. The interior of the Grand i10 Nios Asta CNG comes equipped with an 8-inch infotainment system with smartphone compatibility such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, leather-wrapped steering wheel, adjustable rear seat headrest, smart key with push-button start, wireless charging, USB port, and cooled glove box.

Although there are a few degrades such as the 5.3-inch console being reduced to a smaller 2.8-inch unit. Hyundai has done the same thing with the Sportz CNG variant too, other than this the boot lamp is also missing from the CNG variant. While Magna trim comes with features like 15-inch gun metal-styled wheels, roof rails, rear chrome garnish, a corporate emblem, black painted ORVM, and glossy black radiator grill on the outside. And the interior gets a new interior theme of all-black. It also gets red color inserts on the seats, A/C vents, and gear boot.
