Honda’s Upcoming SUV Dubbed ‘Elevate’

One of the prominent Japanese car-makers, Honda has been selling their cars in India for more than 2 decades. However, the City and Amaze have been the most successful product of the brand in this market. Now, Honda is on the verge of launching a new compact SUV for the Indian market.

Name of the Upcoming Honda Compact SUV

Honda Cars India is all set to introduce the new compact SUV on 6th June 2023. The new compact SUV of this brand will be known as the ‘Elevate’. Based on Honda’s Global Small Car Platform, the Elevate shares its underpinnings with the 5th generation Honda City. The length of this compact SUV will be similar to the sedan with a unique and sturdy design.

Expected Features in Honda Elevate

The Honda Elevate is set to enhance the driving experience with its new electronic architecture and premium features. This car will be even more luxurious than the already impressive Honda City. Honda will brim this SUV with a touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto connectivity, etc.

The all-digital instrument console, cruise control, automatic AC, and steering wheel with mounted controls result in a convenient ride. Safety features are also at the forefront with 6 airbags, ABS, EBD, Hill Assist, ISOFIX mounts, and an advanced ADAS system. With the Honda Elevate, drivers can expect a superior driving experience in terms of both comfort and safety.

Powertrain Pricing and Competition

Honda Elevate will get similar BS6 phase-2 compliant engines as the City sedan. The 1.5L 4-cylinder i-vtec naturally aspirated petrol engine belts out 120hp of power and 145nm of torque output. However, the main highlight will be the 1.5L 4-cylinder strong hybrid engine making 126ps of combined power output.

The Honda Elevate will get 6-Speed Manual for the non-hybrid and 7-Step CVT for both the hybrid and non-hybrid engines. However, the expected price range of the SUV will be between 11 to 18 Lakhs Ex-showroom. After the launch, Honda Elevate will lock its horns with Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, MG Astor, VW Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, etc.
