Honda has recently dropped a teaser of its upcoming bike. In this teaser, the major details aren’t revealed yet. However, it has showcased the LED lights of the new motorcycle.

The teaser has revealed the new M-shaped sporty LED taillight of the new motorcycle. This M-shaped taillight is something similar to the element of the X-Blade bike. Meanwhile, the X-Blade already has crossover-type design elements with an X-shaped taillight.

Moreover, the red highlights and the turning indicator lamps are also visible in this teaser. We can expect that the new motorcycle will get a sporty and flamboyant design like its other models.

Could it be the new 150-180cc Honda motorcycle?

Honda has plenty of motorcycles in its lineup. In the 150-180cc category, the lineup includes Unicorn, X-Blade, Hornet, and the CB200X. However, the X-Blade and Unicorn are the popular models in this category.

In the mainstream market, Honda has some popular models like Shine and SP. Recently, the sales numbers of X-Blade have been declining with double-digit numbers. From this teaser, we assume that Honda will launch a new motorcycle in the 150-180cc category.

In the teaser, Honda revealed that the new motorcycle will have a chunky design with sporty elements. However, the new motorcycle is likely to get a powerful 160cc engine, sporty graphics, LED headlights, a bigger fuel tank, and a chrome exhaust muffler.

The Category, Powertrain, and Launch Details

Moreover, it seems possible that Honda could launch a new version of the SP125. Most of the elements of the new motorcycle will be similar to the current model. Now, let’s see how the Honda fares in balancing the styling formats of 125cc and 160-180cc motorcycles.

We expect that the new Honda motorcycle could use the 162.7cc engine which is also available in X-Blade. This engine makes 13.67 bhp of power and 14.7nm of torque output. However, it will get a 5-Speed Manual Transmission.

Also, it seems possible that the 2-wheeler maker could launch the updated version of one of its current bikes. The launch or unveil event is bound to happen on the 2nd August of 2023.
