Hero’s electric scooter, the Vida has set a new benchmark in the electric vehicle industry. The electric scooter has achieved a title from Guinness World Records for a maximum distance of 1780 km in 24 hours. Now, the Hero Vida has achieved the following title from Guinness World Records: –
“The greatest distance on an electric scooter in 24 hours by a team in the relay is 1780 km (1106.04 mi) and was achieved by Hero MotoCorp’s VIDA V1, at Hero Centre for Innovation and Technology (CIT) Jaipur, India from 20 to 21 April 2023.”
About the conditions of the test track
On the test tracks of Hero’s CIT R&D centre, the crew established this record. The squad of 6 different riders from the Hero Motor Corp. has broken this record. On April 20, 2023, at 6:45 am, the riders’ team began the effort by taking shifts in a relay format.
The crew broke the record the next day at about 2 am on April 21, 2023.
The last loop, which covered 1780 km, was finished that morning at 6:45 am. However, the previous record distance stood at 350 km. The Vida performed well in the track temperature of 50°C and the ambient temperature of 40°C. Meanwhile, the battery swapping time during the attempt was 20 seconds.
