Hero Lectro, the e-cycle brand of Hero Cycles Ltd., announced the launch of its two GEMTECpowered models, the H3 and the H5 on the 28th of October this year. At Rs. 27,499 and Rs. 28,499, the latest e-cycles offer first-in-the-segment features at an attractive price point. The H3 comes in “Blissful Black-Green” and “Blazing Black-Red”, while the H5 comes in “Groovy Green” and “Glorious Grey”.
The H3 & H5 are made for first-time e-cycle adopters with a bid to encourage riders to #HopOntoElectricas the company tries to attract buyers with many interesting feature additions to its e-bikes of which some are industry-firsts, like the dual disc brakes that both the H3 and H5 come equipped with to suit the needs of on-road travel as well as off-road rides, providing the rider with accurate control over the bike’s braking.
The e-cycles were designed and developed at Hero Cycles’ R&D center, sport new Ride Geometry & Smart Fit Ergonomics thanks to the use of lightweight yet strong materials. The IP67-rated waterproof Li-ion battery that comes safely encased inside the hi-performance efficient carbon steel frame allows the rider for all weather use giving the battery pack complete protection against dust over an extended time.
The e-cycles boast a smart LED display & easy-access charging ports and the high torque 250W BLDC rear hub motor ensures a smooth, reliable, and efficient commute. The motor is capable of reaching a maximum speed of 25 km/h while the 5.8Ah in-tube battery can power the H3 & H5 for up to a distance of 30kms before having to be plugged in that will take 4 hrs to get fully loaded.
