Hero Dash and Hero Xtreme Sports launch by October this year

We reported when Hero Motocorp, India’s largest selling bike maker, unveiled the Hero Xtreme Sports and the Hero Dash scooter earlier this year. Now, thanks to a new report in the cyber space, we have got to know that both the new bikes will go on sale in the country by October this year.

The new Hero Xtreme Sports is basically a sportier looking variant of the Xtreme motorcycle and will be powered by an air-cooled, four-stroke, single-cylinder, 149.2 cc engine that has a max power of 15.2 bhp at 8,500 rpm and peak torque of 12.8 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The engine comes mated to a five speed gearbox. Suspension duties are courtesy twin telescopic forks up front and a five step adjustable gas reservoir at the rear. The bike gets a 240 mm disc brake at front wheel, with an option of a 220 mm disc for the rear.

The Hero Xtreme Sports is likely to go on sale around August this year.

Hero Dash

The new Hero Dash is an upcoming Honda Activa adversary and will be powered by a 111 cc forced air-cooled, four-stroke engine which develops 8.44 hp at 7,500 rpm and 9.4 Nm of torque at 5,750 rpm. Features list of the Dash includes Integrated Braking System (IBS), service due and side stand indicator, tubeless tires, an external fuel lid, a mobile charging socket and an under-seat storage light.

The Hero Dash launch is likely to happen around October this year.
