Exterior
The 5th Generation of the SUV that was unveiled back in 2021 adorns the signature seven-slat grille and sports a split set of tail lamps with squared-off wheel arches. It carries over the familiar Jeep design language bearing strong and sharp shoulder lines with a tall long bonnet presenting a muscular look. The side profile shows us the butch stance of the Cherokee which has a large glass area with its upright A-pillar and a floating roof effect on its D-pillar.

Engine
With no diesel powertrains, a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission will be the sole option on offer. Selectable terrain modes like Auto, Sport, Mud/Sand and Snow with Jeep’s four-wheel drive system will be on board.
Features
The American SUV will come equipped with ADAS features with features like Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning Plus Pedestrian Emergency Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go, Blind Spot and Cross Path Detection, Passive Pedestrian Protection, Drowsy Driver Detection, Active Lane Management System, and Intersection Collision Assist System. It will also host a total of 110 safety features along with a 10-inch color head-up display. What’s more, the Grand Cherokee will also feature a powered tailgate.

The interior of the E-segment SUV boasts a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, leather upholstered dual-tone theme, a 12-way powered driver seat along with multiple screens & a wireless charging pad. The highlight of the interior is the array of screens that it will come equipped with such as a 10.1-inch central touchscreen with Uconnect 5, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and another similarly sized touchscreen dedicated to the co-passenger which might be optional.
Ambient lighting & a digital rear-view camera will also be a part of the package. The Cherokee will only be available as a five-seater guise unlike the seven-seater L model sold overseas. Also, Jeep says that India will be the first market outside North America to have the locally assembled Grand Cherokee on sale. The SUV is expected to be priced around the 85-90 lakh.
