Soon after reaching the verge of bankruptcy, Gumpert has decided to come back into action and how! Seen on this page are images of the new 420hp Gumpert Explosion, which is scheduled to make its public debut at the Geneva Motor Show 2014.

The new Gumpert Explosion is an ‘entry-level’ two-seater model that comes with rather oddball design that is a work of Martin Frank. Powering the car is a2.0-liter engine that has a max power of 420 bhp (313 kW) and peak torque of 520 Nm (383 lb-ft). The motor is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. However, the car can also be brought with a six-speed paddle shift transmission. Both the transmissions send power to all four wheels. The car rides on a tubular chassis, which ensures that the weight is under a check. The car can dismiss 100kmph from zero in just three seconds!
The Gumpert Explosion sales will commence later this year, with prices starting from €105,000.
