It is quite a well known fact that the Ford EcoSport will be launched in Indian car market in late March/early April. The EcoSport is taking its own sweet time to come to us and the rumours of Ford EcoSport India Launch Date have been doing rounds since Diwali last year. Now that the Union Budget 2013 has been announced, it is only a matter of few days before the EcoSport is launched in fast growing Indian car market.
Ford India has now come up with a new marketing initiative for the EcoSport.
Ford India says: “Ford Empowers the People of India to Set the Stage for EcoSport launch with EcoSport Urban Discoveries Campaign”
The new “EcoSport Urban Discoveries” is a marketing initiative which would require the participants to show off something exclusive of their cities. This can be something like a landmark, eateries, monuments, etc. The campaign will see participants getting to spend time with the new EcoSport ahead of its official launch.
Ford India claims that the latest initiative is the ‘single largest product pre-launch campaign in India’
The EcoSport Urban Discoveries will be held in two phases and will take place in 12 cities – New Delhi (including NCR), Mumbai (including Navi Mumbai), Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Kochi, Ludhiana, Chennai, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Pune and Kolkata.
Those willing to participate need to have Indian citizenship and have to be the residents of either of the above 12 cities. The participants will need to ‘discover’ a part of their city which is unique, uncommon and interesting. The pics and description of these places will then need to be uploaded on www.ecosportdiscoveries.co.in. Finally, the details of the places will need to be shared with families, friends and social communities.
The participants will be then judged on the basis of votes and quality of content uploaded. The 35 best entries will head to second phase of the campaign where teams will be formed and handed over the keys to Ford EcoSport SUvs. The participants need to upload their ‘urban discoveries’ and show the involvement of the EcoSport in their quest for a unique destination.
The leader of the winning team will drive home an EcoSport with the team members getting international holiday packages.
