According to the official Facebook page of Fiat India, the Fiat Linea Facelift bookings in India have commenced across all its dealership. As we reported earlier, the Fiat Linea facelift India launch will happen in the first week of March. (Click here to read our earlier report on Fiat India facelift India launch)
The Fiat Linea facelift boasts of a new front grille, new fog lamps and a new front bumper. The car also gets a redesigned boot-lid, which houses the rear number plate (Please note- pre-facelift model has its rear plate on the bumper). The outside rear view mirrors feature turn indicators integrated into them.
Inside, the dashboard of the car makes use of a new color. The car also gets a new audio system, which is equipped with a USB port, aux port and Bluetooth connectivity.
Other highlights of the car include:
- 16-inch alloys
- Rear parking sensor
- Cruise control
- Rain sensing wipers
- Auto headlamps
- Ambient dashboard lighting
- Safety features such as ABS, EBD and front airbags.
Fiat will be using the same 1.3-liter Multijet diesel motor which produces 93 PS of max power and 209 Nm of torque to power the diesel variant of the updated car. The petrol variant will be powered by the 114PS 1.4 liter turbochaged T-jet. Both the engines will come mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. At the recently concluded Auto Expo 2014, Fiat India officials dismissed off all the rumors regarding a new 1.6 litre MJD coming to us along with the facelift.
Since the bookings of the car have commenced, we can soon expect the demo vehicles to be displayed in the Fiat Caffe’s and dealerships.
