One of the most prominent sports car manufacturers, Ferrari has unveiled the road-legal version of the SF90 XX Stradale. Usually, the Ferrari XX models are developed for track racing but the latest SF90 XX Stradale has changed the legacy.
The Italian carmaker has launched 2 versions of the SF90 XX Stradale. While the hardtop is limited to 799 units, the convertible iteration is limited to just 599 units.

The Aesthetics in Ferrari SF90 XX Stradale
The carmaker has tweaked the aesthetics of the SF90 XX Stradale to differentiate it from the regular SF90 Stradale. The overall design of the SF90 XX Stradale looks aggressive and striking at first sight. The lower portion of the front fascia sports a large front splitter which maintains the airflow and aerodynamics of the car. Ferrari claims that it adds 45kg of downforce at the speed of 250km/h. On the hood, the wide outlet is replaced by redesigned air intake elements.
The car gets a pair of air ducts on the nose and center and the gills at the fenders. The rear of the car features twin inlets on the engine cover and fender openings. After Ferrari F50, the SF90 XX Stradale gets a fixed rear wing as standard. As per the carmaker, the total aesthetic revision results in addition to overall body downforce of 530kg at 250km/h. Meanwhile, the spider version gets an adjustable rooftop which can be operated at a speed of 45km/h and opening takes 14 seconds.

The Interior of Ferrari SF90 XX Stradale
Ferrari has made a slew of minor tweaks to the interior of the SF90 XX Stradale with a racing cockpit theme. The supercar gets an Alcantara dashboard and carbon fiber treatment in a lot of trims. Meanwhile, the gearshift selector is located forward unlike its regular version. The single-piece design of the seats gets elastic trim connecting upward and downward sections with adjustable backrests.
However, the dashboard gets Alcantara trim in the upper section and the lower section is finished in technical fabric. With the new single-piece seats, the carmaker has reduced the weight by 1.3 kgs.

What lies at the heart of the matter?
Under the clamshell, the racing beast SF90 XX Stradale is packed with a 4.0L F154FB Twin-turbo hybrid V8 engine. This engine is further coupled to the triple electric motor set-up assisting the engine in enhanced power delivery. This results in a marvelous 1,016hp of power output which is 30hp more than the standard 986hp version of SF90 Stradale.
However, the 4.0L V8 engine alone churns out 786hp of power output in the SF90 XX Stradale due to its different tuning than the standard version. Ferrari has reworked this engine with new pistons, tweaked combustion chamber, and tweaked intake and exhaust ducts. The SF90 XX Stradale features a new air-flow system which reduces the weight of the car by 3.5kgs than the regular SF90 Stradale.
About the hybrid electric motor setup and performance
Ferrari has mated the 4.0L Twin-turbo hybrid engine to 3 electric motors. Out of which, 2 motors are mounted at the front axle and one between the transmission and engine. The carmaker has tweaked the electric motors to produce 229hp of power instead of the regular 217hp in SF90 Stradale. Meanwhile, the motor is powered by a 7.9kWh battery pack offering an EV mode range of 25km and a top speed of 135km/h. Moreover, the electric motors are tuned to offer an extra boost mode which adds more power to the car.
The SF90 XX Stradale features an 8-Speed Twin-Clutch Transmission which ensures seamless gear shifts. Furthermore, the carmaker has revised the software which adds the adrenaline sounds during the shifting of cogs. This results in a 0-100km/h sprint in just 2.3 seconds and a top speed of 320km/h.
