Ferrari 599's successor caught testing

There is not much known about the car here in the video but sources suggest that this here is the successor to the Ferrari 599, codenamed F152. This camouflaged test mule was caught near Ferrari’s headquarters in Maranello. What we do know about the upcoming car are some tasty performance figures. The car sports a mighty V12 beneath that hidden body work and the power mill is housed in the mid-front area of the sports car. The V12 has a displacement of 6.3 liters and pumps out mind boggling 700 hp (522kW) of power. Unlike the Lamborghini Aventador and McLaren MP4-12C, this Ferrari will make use of aluminum instead of carbon fiber for its body structure. The reason for this departure from going the CF way is that Ferrari feels that the high construction costs are not justified by the minimal performance gains.

Ferrari 599’s successor should be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
