Lamborghini has introduced the Aventador LP750-4 Superveloce to Asia at Auto Shanghai 2015. The introduction of the fastest, sportiest model ever from the house of the Raging Bull also marks the brand’s tenth anniversary in the Chinese market. Keeping alive the tradition of the SV nameplate the LP 750-4 SV breaks new barriers for Lamborghini.
The Aventador LP 750-4 SV made its global debut in Geneva earlier this year. Only the fourth model in Lamborghini’s 50-year history to wear the prestigious “SV” badge, this Aventador is a genuine collectible. Only the Miura, Diablo and Murcielago models have had the privilege of getting that badge before this car.
The power output of the Aventador’s V12 engine has been raised by 49 bhp to a staggering 750bhp. That, along with a weight reduction of 50 kg, thanks to extensive use of carbon fibre endows the LP 750-4 a 0-100 km/h acceleration of 2.8 seconds and a top speed of more than 350 km/h. Every hp of power produced by the car has to lug only 2.03 kg of weight – giving this monster an incredibly nimble set of feet. The aerodynamics have also been improved to ensure no one gets to see a flying Aventador SV, ever.
The Aventador LP 750-4 SuperVeloce will be limited to just 600 units worldwide, which isn’t really a very small number for such an expensive metal. There is, however, no probability of even a single example of the model not getting sold, so those who want it better book it right away. The starting price for the model internationally is nearly half a million dollars or INR 3 crores.
