The Jeep marquee in India has added yet another Bollywood star to their list of customers with Actor Farhan Akhtar getting himself a brand new SUV from the FCA owned brand. The Rock On 2 actor took delivery of his new Jeep Grand Cherokee at the Jeep showroom located in Worli, Mumbai.
Finished in a shade of True Blue, keys of this Jeep Grand Cherokee were handed over to Farhan Akhtar by Kevin Flynn, President and Managing Director, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) India. Prices of the Grand Cherokee from Jeep India start at INR 75.15 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Jeep Grand Cherokee is available in India with two engine options including a 3.6-litre V6 petrol engine and a 3.0-litre diesel engine. While the petrol unit is capable of producing a maximum power output of 286 hp and 347 Nm of torque, the diesel unit is tuned to produce 240 hp and 570 Nm of torque. Both these engines are available with an eight speed automatic transmission as standard. In India, the Grand Cherokee rivals the likes of the Mercedes-Benz GLS Class and the Audi Q7.
