Daimler India has introduced a new truck driving learning platform named Bharat-Benz Simulated Driver Trainer. This platform brings an evolution of digitally learning new techniques of truck driving on Indian roads. This platform boasts a finely tuned driving training process which also generates improvements.

Bharat-Benz Simulator Training Set-up
This state-of-the-art simulator is unlike anything currently available in the commercial vehicles industry in India. Bharat-Benz has developed cutting-edge technology to create a Simulated Trainer providing an unparalleled training experience for its drivers.
The driver sits inside the actual cabin of a heavy-duty truck connected to a multi-screen display, displaying real-life circumstances. The simulator simulates real-world driving dynamics and skill improvement. The system can be easily controlled via a computer, enabling instructors to tweak the terrains, weather conditions, and other obstacles.

Systematic learning and commitment of Bharat-Benz
Bharat-Benz is committed to providing a comprehensive training experience for its truck drivers. The Simulated Driver Trainer offers training in five different languages: English, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Telugu. And plans to add more languages later this year. Initially, the simulator will train drivers of heavy-duty trucks (HDT). The Simulated Driver Trainer offers 16 different driving modules for practice, including both basic and advanced combinations, and eLearning modules. Eleven of these modules are specific to BharatBenz trucks, providing training on advanced features and driving techniques.
The system generates reports to improve driver’s performance and skill. This results in the development of effective driving habits for improved performance, cost-saving, and overall efficiency. The eLearning modules will provide product walkthroughs and fuel-efficient, reliable driving techniques, including familiarization, daily checks, and performance reports. Additionally, BharatBenz has introduced a 5-day Driver Efficiency Improvement Program that combines eLearning, simulated driving, classroom training, and on-track training.
