The Chevrolet Enjoy MPV is surely taking a long time coming to India. The MPV, which was seen at the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo, is basically a rebadged Wuling Honguang that is on sale in Chinese car market. The Enjoy is also sold under the Chevrolet CN100 moniker in some countries.

The Enjoy has been spotted testing in India on numerous occasions and appears close to be launched in our country. The Chevrolet Enjoy MPV will battle it out against the Nissan Evalia and the high selling Maruti Suzuki Ertiga along with being an indirect rival to the Toyota Innnova. It is expected that the Enjoy will be priced really close to the Ertiga and would offer more features.

While it has always been known that the Enjoy would be launched with the 1.3 litres Multijet diesel engine that also powers the Ertiga, details about the petrol engine variant of the Enjoy have surfaced on the cyber space today.

The Enjoy petrol variant will be powered by an all new 1.4 Litre four cylinder normally aspirated gasoline engine that will be built at General Motors’ engine making factory at Talegaon MIDC near Pune. The new motor has a max power output of 103 Bhp and a peak torque figure of 131 Nm. The engine is mated to a five speed manual transmission. It may be noted that the Ertiga’s petrol variant too is powered by a 1.4 litre 4 cylinder normally aspirated K Series engine that has a max power output of 94 Bhp and a peak torque figure of 130 Nm. The Enjoy will be a genuine 7 seater and the diesel variant might do well in the taxi markets.
