Chevrolet just introduced an LPG Variant of the Beat making life hard for many other hatchbacks. Now Chevrolet India has announced that the Beat Diesel will be available by June 2011. So if you are planning to buy that Alto or Nano it’s clever enough to wait till this one makes way. The Diesel Beat will be powered by the one lit Engine manufactured in their new plant at Talegaon in Maharahstra. GM plans to invest USD 230 Million in their new plant which will produce 1.60 lakh units. The company also says that there will be some products having more than 95% localisation content due to introduction of the new Talegaon plant.
The Beat Diesel will be available in the Indian as well as European market. With a one lit Engine it will give maximum mileage, which means fluctuating prices in oil won’t be a great issue.
Later this year the company plans to introduce the BS4 Version of the Tavera. Apart from that we will witness introduction of 6 new models including a compact car, a sedan, a SUV, a MUV & a pickup also an upgraded version of the Captiva. With the Cruze numbers going up and the Beat LPG Chevrolet has taken care of two major segments of car buyers. With the new line up its looks like a killer team so other manufacturers Watch Out!
