Skoda Auto India celebrated the success of their India 2.0 initiative against the backdrop of the Himalayas in Dehradun. A unique drive from Dehradun to Mussorie commemorated Skoda Auto India’s achievements in the second quarter of FY23.
The recently conduct G-NCAP test saw the Skoda Kushaq score a 5-star rating not only for adult passenger protection but also for child passenger protection. This has made Kushaq India’s safest car alongside its cousin, the Volkswagen Taigun.

Our INDIA 2.0 heroes were in their element in the beautiful foothills of the Himalayas. 2022 has been a remarkable year for us. With the response we have received, we are confident of carrying forward this momentum into 2023, and beyond.”

Skoda Auto India’s Success
Skoda India has recorded the highest number of sales with 44,500 units sold between Jan-Oct 2022. A lot of this success is owed to the India 2.0 project and the new MQB-A0-IN platform that has been Made-in-India and Made-For-India. Skoda has also managed to keep the costs of its products low, thanks to the 95% localization without compromising on the quality of the products. The platform currently underpins the Kushaq and the Slavia from Skoda India’s portfolio.
Skoda Kushaq Anniversary Edition
Skoda also announced the Anniversary Edition of the Kushaq. The anniversary variant gets ‘Anniversary Edition’ badging and stickering on the C-pillar, chrome garnish on the door sills, and door-end protectors. The interior gets ‘Anniversary Edition’ badging on the steering wheel, new contrast stitching, and a 10-inch infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay. This touchscreen was previously replaced by an 8-inch screen due to the chip shortage.

Skoda also announced that both the Kushaq and the Slavia will get an update in 2023.
