About DiSus by BYD

BYD has unveiled a new intelligent body control system known as DiSus. It is divided into three categories: – Intelligent Damping Body Control System (DiSus-C), the Intelligent Air Body Control System (DiSus-A), and the Intelligent Hydraulic Body Control System (DiSus-P).

The aim of the DiSus system is to provide agility and convenience in various driving situations. As a result, DiSus reduces the risk of vehicle rollover and ensures occupant safety during hazardous situations. The DiSus will set a new benchmark for ultimate safety in the automotive industry.

What BYD models will feature the DiSus system?

BYD will introduce its DiSus safety and driver assistance technologies in various models such as the Yangwang U8, Denza N7, Dynasty series, Ocean series, and others. The Yangwang U8 will be the first model to receive DiSus-P, while the Denza N7 will feature DiSus-A. Other BYD models such as Han, Tang, and Denza will get the DiSus-C technology via OTA update.

About DiSus-X implication

BYD has showcased their all-electric supercar named as YangWang U9. This car features an advanced suspension setup known as DiSus-X. This suspension rolls out the car’s 3 wheels by lifting the corner. Thereby, it reduces the chances of damage to the braking system and prevents tire failure.

The suspension setup uses kinetic energy for the bouncing feature. This feature is identical to a few Mercedes cars with Bounce Mode. This car gets a quad-motor setup making a whopping 1100hp and 1280 nm of output. BYD claims that this car can do 0-100 in under 2 seconds. And this car has a claimed range of up to 700 km on a single charge.

Official Statement

Mr. Wang Chuanfu, Chairman and President of BYD said “The BYD DiSus System is the first self-developed intelligent body control system launched by BYD, marking the breakthrough from zero to one. The BYD DiSus System will further secure the globally pioneering stance for BYD in the industry.”
