Notably, the Seal supports Vehicle to Load (V2L) charging, making it a versatile companion for outdoor activities.

Warranty Assurance

BYD reinforces its commitment to quality with an 8-year/1,60,000km warranty on the battery and an 8-year/1,50,000km warranty on the motor and motor controller unit, providing peace of mind to Seal owners.

Design and Features

The BYD Seal is a visual delight, measuring 4,800mm in length, 1,875mm in width, and 1,460mm in height. Drawing inspiration from the Ocean X concept, the sedan boasts “ocean aesthetics” design language.

Standout features include a coupe-like all-glass roof, flush-fitting door handles, and boomerang-shaped LED daytime running lights.

Inside, the Seal impresses with a rotating 15.6-inch infotainment display, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and a heads-up display for the driver.

The flamboyant interior features 8-way electronically adjustable driver’s seat with memory, heated and cooled front seats, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone AC, 10 airbags, ABS with hill hold, automatic wipers, and a 360-degree camera, earning it a 5-star safety rating from Euro NCAP.

Positioned Against Competitors

While the BYD Seal is the first of its kind in its price range, it competes with other premium EVs in the market such as the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6, and the Volvo XC40 Recharge.

What we Think

The BYD Seal is a game-changer in the electric sedan segment, offering unparalleled features, impressive performance, and a commitment to sustainability.
