Brixton CrossFire twins launched in India

Austrian motorcycle manufacturer Brixton has officially launched its Crossfire 500X and Brixton Crossfire 500XC models in India, marking a significant step in its expansion into the country’s mid-capacity motorcycle segment. These models, known for their retro-modern design and versatility, are now available under MotoHaus, a venture by KAW Veloce Motors Pvt. Ltd.

The Crossfire 500X is a road-biased model designed for urban riders and highway tours, while the Crossfire 500XC caters to dual-sport enthusiasts seeking off-road adventure capabilities. Both models feature Brixton’s signature blend of modern engineering with vintage-inspired styling, targeting Indian riders who value performance and aesthetic appeal.

Specifications of the Brixton Crossfire 500 Series

The Crossfire 500X and 500XC share a 486cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine, delivering 47.5 PS at 8,500 RPM and 43 Nm of torque at 6,500 RPM. The bikes are equipped with a six-speed gearbox and slipper clutch for smoother gear transitions. Suspension duties are handled by a KYB front fork and rear monoshock, with the 500XC boasting longer travel to tackle rugged terrains.

Both models come with dual-channel ABS for enhanced braking safety, and the 500XC adds off-road ABS for increased control on challenging surfaces. The Crossfire 500X features 17-inch alloy wheels, while the 500XC comes with spoked wheels—19 inches at the front and 17 inches at the rear—for better off-road performance. With a 13.5-liter fuel tank, riders can expect decent range for both city and adventure rides. The bikes also offer LED lighting, a digital instrument cluster, and ergonomic seating for rider comfort.

Brixton’s Market Strategy in India

With starting prices of ₹4.74 lakh for the Crossfire 500X and ₹4.83 lakh for the Crossfire 500XC (ex-showroom), Brixton aims to compete in the mid-capacity segment dominated by established brands like Royal Enfield and KTM. MotoHaus plans to support the brand’s presence with premium retail outlets across key Tier-1 and Tier-2 cities and expand its dealership network to 20 locations by mid-2025.

Pre-bookings for the bikes are now open, with deliveries expected to commence in January 2025. MotoHaus, which also handles brands like VLF, envisions a robust 25% annual growth rate, leveraging Brixton’s global reputation for precision engineering and stylish design.
