Audi India is gearing up to launch the new Q8 E-Tron and Q8 Sportback E-Tron models. Ahead of its launch, the carmaker has started taking official bookings of the new Q8 E-tron models.
The upcoming Q8 E-tron is the facelift version of the current Q8 with more features, a new design, and more driving range. The customers can book their Q8 E-Tron and Q8 Sportback E-Tron for a token amount of Rs. 5 Lakhs.
Audi Q8 E-Tron: Exterior Design
In terms of design, the Q8 E-Tron gets several changes to the exterior. The new Q8 E-Tron gets a fresh trapezoidal grille with black surrounds which extends toward headlights. Also, it gets the new Audi monochrome badge with a downward projecting light bar and a new bumper with large intakes.
Meanwhile, the side profile of the new Q8 E-Tron has a classic Q-like design with simple creases and lines. The electric SUV rides on the new 20-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, the Q8 E-Tron continues with familiar Audi styling. Moreover, the Q8 E-Tron gets the new connected type LED taillights with sequential turn indicators.
Overall, the design of the new Audi Q8 E-Tron looks classic and vibrant. The crossover looks incredible and appears like a vehicle from the future.
Audi Q8 E-Tron: Interior and Features
Like the exterior, the interior design of the new Q8 E-Tron looks luxurious and premium. The dashboard layout consists of the twin-screen set-up. Out of which, the one is for the infotainment system of size 10.1-inch. However, the Q8 E-Tron also gets an 8.6-inch center console display for controlling other features like air conditioning.
Meanwhile, the comfort creature features include a range-topping 16-speaker, Bang and Olufsen 3D sound system, and power-adjustable front seats with a memory function. Also, the Q8 E-Tron gets other features like matrix LED headlights, a 360-degree camera for better visibility, four-zone climate control, etc.
Audi Q8 E-Tron: Powertrain Details
The new Audi Q8 E-Tron continues with a 114kWh battery pack along with a twin-electric motor set-up. With this setup, the new Q8 E-Tron produces 408hp and 664Nm of combined output. This results in 0-100km/h in 5.6 seconds and up to 600kms of WLTP claimed range.
Meanwhile, the new Audi Q8 E-Tron supports 170kW DC fast charging. But the Audi Q8 E-Tron is provided with a 22kW AC charger. The claimed charging time with DC fast charging from 10% to 80% is 30 minutes. However, with the AC charging, it takes 6 hours to fully charge the vehicle.
Audi Q8 E-Tron: Pricing, Rivals, and Launch Timeline
Audi has announced that they will launch the new Q8 E-Tron on the 18th of August 2023. However, the price range of the new Q8 E-Tron is expected to start from Rs. 1.06 crores approx.
Moreover, the colour options of the new Q8 E-Tron will include – Madeira Brown, Chronos Grey, Glacier White, Mythos Black, Plasma Blue, Soneira Red, Magnet Grey, Siam Beige, and Manhattan Grey. Also, the new Q8 E-Tron gets options of different interior themes like all black, Okapi Brown, and Pearl Beige Colour.
After the launch, the new Audi Q8 E-Tron will compete with Jaguar i-Pace and BMW iX.
