Design and Aesthetics of BMW M1000 RR
BMW has distinguished the design profile of the newly launched M1000 RR from the S1000 RR. Upfront, the BMW M1000 RR gets large front air intakes, huge winglets, and full-carbon fairing. As per the automaker, the design profile of the M1000 RR clearly depicts Victory. The road-legal version of the M1000 RR is equipped with upside-down forks, new round LED headlights, and turn indicators.
Other racing design elements include fairings with M engine covers, M carbon wheels with an option of forged wheels, and front mudguards with brake ducts resulting in tremendous aerodynamics. The rear of the superbike features a lighter rear section with redesigned hump cover, short number plate holder, and LED taillights with indicators.
Features in BMW M1000 RR
BMW has equipped the new M1000 RR with a plethora of riding features that ensure the safety and thrill of riding. The superbike gets a 6.5-inch instrument cluster featuring start-up M logo animation and OBD interface for M GPS Data logger and Lap trigger. What lies at the heart of the matter?
The new BMW M1000 RR is powered by the 999cc 4-cylinder water-cooled petrol engine. This engine features new elements such as twin-ring forged pistons, narrow and lighter cam profiles, and CNC intake parts. Some other elements include titanium valves and connected rods with BMW ShiftCam technology for variable timing valvetrain.
This results in an adrenaline-pumping output of 212hp of power and 113nm of torque. The automaker claims that the new BMW M1000 RR can hit 0-100 km/h sprint in 3.1 seconds and achieves a top speed of 314 km/h. This performance is faster than earlier by an increment in power output by 2hp and weight reduction of 200g with the M-Competition package.
