BMW India has launched an exclusive ‘50 Jahre M Edition’ of the BMW 6 Series to celebrate the 50 years of BMW M GmbH known for its high-performance adrenaline-gushing cars. The BMW 630i M Sport 50 Jahre M Edition will be locally produced at the BMW Plant in Chennai and is priced at ₹72,90,000 (ex. Showroom). Available only with the petrol powertrain, this new variant is one of the 10 exclusive 50 Jahre editions that will be launched by BMW India in the coming weeks.

Design
The exterior of the 6 Series Jahre edition gets the M Emblem inspired by the classic ‘BMW Motorsport’ logo placed above the signature kidney grille, the M emblem can also be seen in the rear logo and the wheel hub caps. Projecting light up to 650 meters, it also comes with BMW Laserlight
The 50 Jahre M Edition is available in BMW Individual Tanzanite Blue Metallic, M Carbon Black, Bernina Grey Amber Effect, and Mineral White colour options paired with Natural Leather Dakota upholstery in Cognac finish with contrast stitching. Customers can get it more personalized through an optional M Accessories Package and Motorsport Pack which offers exterior upgrades like BMW Kidney Grille in High Gloss Black, Key Fob in Carbon Fibre and Alcantara and commanding 19-inch 647 M Light alloy wheels in Jet black.
Interior
The eye-catching interior of ‘50 Jahre M Edition’ contains Natural Leather Dakota Sport Seats with M Seatbelts. Other than this, the 6 series comes with a BMW Live Cockpit Professional with BMW Operating System 7.0 includes 3D Navigation, a 12.3-inch digital instrument display behind the steering wheel, a 12.3-inch Control Display and a BMW Virtual Assistant. It also supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The safety features include six airbags, Attentiveness Assistance, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Brake Assist, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) including Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) and Electronic Differential Lock Control (EDLC), Cornering Brake Control (CBC), electric parking brake with auto hold, side-impact protection, electronic vehicle immobilizer and crash sensors, ISOFIX child seat mounting and emergency spare wheel.
Powertrain
The 630i gets its power from a 2-liter 4-cylinder petrol engine with 258 hp maximum output and 400 Nm peak torque. It can reach 0-100 km/h in just 6.5 seconds. Power is sent to the rear wheels via an 8-speed Steptronic transmission.
