Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) introduced a new range of BharatBenz heavy-duty rigid trucks in India. These trucks are powered by a new 6.7-liter BharatBenz BSVI-Stage 2 diesel engine and offer enhanced payload applications, including bitumen, bulker, and petroleum, oil & lubricants (POL).
The new engine offers two configurations: 250HP and 950Nm, and 306HP and 1200Nm, to meet various customer needs. The trucks are designed for a wider range of applications, including bitumen, bulker, and POL. The joggle frame chassis, constructed with riveted joints, provides a strong foundation for these applications.
The trucks feature the EFFI+ package and multi-drive mode functionality, resulting in significant fuel savings. They also come with a 10-lakh km Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) for enhanced operational reliability.
The trucks are fully compliant with EU ECE R29-02 cabin safety norms and include advanced driver-state monitoring systems, a powerful engine brake, and reverse cameras.
