Mahindra presented a concept version of its all-electric SUV line in the UK in August of last year. On the eve of Hyderabad’s inaugural Formula E race, these were now on display in India.
With the M9Electro race car, Mahindra will compete in the Formula E Race event. M9Electro finished third at the Mexico City E-Prix in January, sharing the podium. It should be noted that the Mahindra Racing factory team has participated in Formula E since the competition’s debut in 2011.
New Mahindra Electric SUVs
The XUV.e and BE brands have been assigned to Mahindra’s next born-electric SUVs. They do, however, utilize the same INGLO platform. The XUV.e8 and XUV.e9 are part of the Mahindra XUV.e line. In essence, the XUV.e8 is an electric version of the XUV700. In December 2024, when it is expected to be launched, it will be the first. XUV.e8 measures 4740 mm in length, 1900 mm in width, 1760 mm in height, and has a 2762 mm wheelbase.
The introduction of the Mahindra XUV.e9 is scheduled for April 2025. It features a striking, cutting-edge design that combines aspects of an SUV and a coupe. XUV.e9 measures 4790 mm in length, 1905 mm in width, 1690 mm in height, and has a 2775 mm wheelbase. It will have a big sky roof with a panoramic view. There will be a wide range of high-tech features and luxuriously appointed interiors. In India, Disha Patani, a bollywood star, attended the unveiling.
The BE.05, BE.07, and BE.09 models are part of the Mahindra BE line. The extreme design of BE series SUVs sets them apart, yet they share some characteristics with one another, like sharp body panelling, C-shaped headlamps, and taillamps. Aerodynamics have received special attention, and this will help these SUVs’ range.
Mahindra BE Rall-E Concept Electric
October 2025 is the projected release date for BE.05. Its racing-inspired look and exceptional performance are indicative of its classification as a Sports Electric Vehicle (SEV) by Mahindra. BE.05 has a wheelbase of 2775 mm and measures 4370 mm long, 1900 mm wide, and 1635 mm height. Based on this, Mahindra unveiled the BE RALL-E off-road rally concept in the presence of Vicky Kaushal, a popular Bollywood actor.
The release of BE.07 is planned for October 2026. It will be a family-friendly SUV, ideal for getaways and weekend adventures. BE.07 has a wheelbase of 2775 mm and measures 4565 mm long, 1900 mm wide, and 1660 mm height. The range-topping SUV, BE.09, will have a chiselled profile and commanding street presence from birth. The SUV will have four seats. About BE.09 and its launch schedule, not much is known.
These all-new INGLO platform from Mahindra will be shared by these born-electric SUVs. It has a number of benefits, including flexibility to different body types. Advanced Blade and Prismatic cell structures will be used by INGLO to ensure maximum range.
Fast charging will help users, since 80% of the charge can be reached in under 30 minutes. A thrilling performance is guaranteed by INGLO, with a 0-100 kmph time of just 5–6 seconds. Another area of attention is safety, which is supported by a strengthened passenger compartment and a variety of ADAS technologies.
