Tata Motors has put on display its Tata Nano Twist F-Tronic concept at the ongoing Auto Expo 2014 and here are some images and details of the concept model.

The Tata Nano Twist F-Tronic Concept previews the F-Tronic technology equipped Nano. The new Tata F-Tronic is basically a five-speed Automated Manual Transmission.
The new Nano F-Tronic concept’s AMT comes from Magneti Marelli, who is one of the few technology partners of most Formula 1 teams. Basically, the new concept’s AMT sports of an electro-hydraulic mechanism that uses an electronic control unit and a hydraulic system for accurate clutch usage and smooth gear shifting. Tata says that the gearshifting in this car is “smooth as a finger shift”.
Tata says that the new Nano F-Tronic is as much as 15-20 percent more fuel efficiency over a conventional automatic transmission and the new car’s transmission is on par with “any conventional manual transmission”.
