Are these the first images of one of the three upcoming racetracks which would be reportedly built in Hosur (Tamil Nadu), Hyderabad and between Mumbai-Pune (Maharashtra)? We’re not sure how authentic these images are as we received them via WhatsApp. The images suggest that motorcycling legend Freddie Spencer laid the foundation stone for the upcoming racetrack between Mumbai-Pune on November 26, 2017.
Freddie Spencer laying the foundation stone for a racetrack in India is a big deal and we should’ve received some official communication from our friends in PR but we yet haven’t. Moreover, the text on the foundation stone looks a little fishy and thus it’s a little difficult for us to comment about whether these images are authentic or another hoax on the famous messaging app. We’d keep you posted if we receive any official communication. Meanwhile, let us run you through the plans for the three upcoming racetracks in India.
As reported earlier, India could soon get three new race tracks. The news comes from motoring portal Motorsports who recently spoke to Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI) President, Akbar Ebrahim. With the new race tracks, enthusiasts will have better access to safe environments to test the capabilities of their machines.
