2024 KTM Duke 390 Detailed Walkaround: All That is New!

KTM has sent pulses racing with the much-anticipated launch of the Gen 3 Duke 390 in India, priced at Rs 3,10,520 (ex-showroom). This latest iteration comes brimming with enhancements that justify the premium it commands over its predecessor.

Duke 390 Enhanced Power

The core of this beast is an all-new 399cc engine, now churning out an impressive 45hp and 39Nm of torque. This slight power boost, an increase of 1.5hp and 2Nm, promises an even more thrilling and exhilarating ride.Notably, it now produces its peak torque at 5000 rpm, earlier it used to peak at above 6000 rpm.

Revamped Frame and Suspension

A brand-new trellis frame embraces this powerhouse, accompanied by an aluminum sub-frame. The suspension system has undergone meticulous redesigning, featuring a revised upside-down fork and an offset monoshock linked to a revamped swingarm.

Duke 390 Riding Experience

The 390 Duke’s aesthetics have also been redefined, with meticulous attention to detail evident in the redesigned tank extensions and headlight region. But it’s not just about looks; riders can now choose from three distinct modes: Rain, Street, and Track, each offering progressively sharper power delivery. Track mode even introduces launch control, taking the thrill to new heights. Standard features now include traction control, cornering ABS, and a bi-directional quickshifter.

New 5 Inch TFT Screen

The Duke 390 does not get any analog instruments rather KTM implemented a new 5 inch TFT screen which is protected by toughened glass. What’s more, we get a new switch gear with buttons to control all the functions of the bike. KTM has also added a separate button to toggle hazard lights.

Duke 390 Riding Modes and Launch Control

KTM has also introduced riding modes to the Duke 390, it features three driving modes Street, Rain and Track. It changes the dynamics, power delivery and traction control settings to suit for condition rider picks. Moreover, it gets a launch control mode as well. KTM claims it helps in launching bike from a stand still.
