The third leg of Desert Storm 2018 saw Sherco TVS Factory Rally Team’s Lorenzo Santolino take the lead in the stage and finish at P1. The Rally coursed through the sand-dunes surrounding Jaisalmer and the Spaniard braved the heat and terrain to emerge at the very top of the table in the 348 kilometres stretch through Mokul and Asutar.
His counter-part in the Group A (upto 450cc category), TVS Racing’s Abdul Wahid Tanveer, had a commendable stint with a P4 finish at the end of leg 3. Lorenzo’s performance has ensured that he has climbed up in the overall ranking to P3 while Abdul Wahid Tanveer is at a steady P5.
Leg 4, which is divided into two parts, will see riders traverse a distance of 452 kilometers in the region of Bhuwana, Asutar and Majid ki Basti. Rajendra RE and Imran Pasha had to unfortunately retire from the Rally due to technical issues.
