Mahindra to Launch 3 SUVs – Here’s all you need to know!

Mahindra is one of the leading SUV makers in the market. In recent years, the carmaker has launched 3 significant SUVs in the market including the new generation Thar, Scorpio-N and the XUV 700.

Now, the carmaker is on the verge of launching more SUVs in its portfolio. Below are the details about upcoming SUVs by Mahindra:

1. Mahindra XUV 3XO

Mahindra XUV 3XO is the upcomig sub-4-metre compact SUV from the house of the SUV maker that will replace the XUV300 launched back in 2019. Since its launch, the SUV is currently in its first generation and it is due for an update. Now, the brand will launch the facelift version in the market soon. It is expected that the new XUV 3XO will get a tweaked design profile, new alloys, a new grille, LED headlights and taillights. Moreover, the new XUV 3XO will boast some new features like an advanced instrument cluster, ADAS, new steering wheel, a large infotainment system, etc.

The new XUV 3XO is expected to be powered by 2 petrol and 1 diesel engine options. The base engine will be a 1.2L 3-cylinder petrol engine making 109hp and 200nm of output. While the turbo sport variants will be powered by the 1.2L 3-cylinder M-Stallion T-GDi petrol engine making 129hp and 230nm of output. And the SUV will also have the 1.5L 4-cylinder diesel engine churning out 115hp and 300nm of colossal output. Transmission duties are likely to be done by a 6-Speed Manual. While the AMT transmission will be replaced by Torque Converter Automatic Transmission.

The XUV 3XO will be unveiled on April 29.

2. Mahindra Thar 5-door

Mahindra Thar is one of the highly anticipated SUVs in the market. Now, the brand is on the verge of launching the most awaited 5-door version of Thar in the market. The Thar nameplate has been a success for the brand providing a plethora of sales volume. The new Thar 5-door is expected to retain many of the design elements from the 3-door sibling. However, the brand will tweak the dimensions, length, and wheelbase and a new rear door will be added. Additionally, the new Thar 5-door will feature a slew of minor cosmetic tweaks and more practicality.

The new Thar 5-door will be powered by the 2.0L M-Stallion Turbo petrol and 2.2L M-hawk engine. While the petrol produces 152ps and 320nm, the diesel churns out 130hp and 300nm of torque. The transmission duties will be done by a 6-Speed Manual and Automatic Gearbox along with a 4×4 drivetrain system. Mahindra will unveil the 5-door version of Thar on 15th August this year.

Mahindra Bolero Neo

3. Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus

Mahindra will also launch the refreshed version of the TUV 300 Plus in the market with a different nomenclature. It will be christened as the Bolero Neo Plus which will be based on the current generation Bolero Neo. The SUV’s test mule has been spied on for a while on public roads. It is expected that the Bolero Neo Plus will largely resemble its sub-4-metre sibling. However, the SUV will also receive a slew of minor cosmetic tweaks to distinguish it from the Bolero Neo. In addition, the SUV will get more road presence, more length, more wheelbase, large third-row seats and expected rear AC vents.

The new Bolero Neo Plus is expected to be powered by the 2.2L 2nd generation M-hawk 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine. This engine will churn out 130hp of power and 300nm of torque output. Mahindra will offer a 6-Speed Manual Transmission in the Bolero Neo Plus. It is expected that Mahindra will introduce the Bolero Neo Plus by either the end of this year or 2024.
