Underdogs. They’re always special. Little did that Ferrari driver know that this heavily tuned, turbo-charged Supra ran a heady boost of 40 psi. (The typical boost provided by a turbocharger ranges between 6 to 8 psi).
When the guys at That Racing Channel on YouTube were out testing their new engine setup in their Toyota Supra, they encountered a Ferrari 458 Italia, a very fast car in its own right, on the highway that wanted to do a little bit of playing. What happens after that stirs up memories of the infamous Ferrari vs Supra race scene from the very first Fast and the Furious movie.
The 458, a contemporary tour de force in the realm of mid-engined sports cars, is propelled by a naturally aspirated, 4.5-litre V8 engine that produces 561 bhp of power and 540Nm of torque. The car accelerates from naught to 100 kph in about 3.3 seconds and has a top speed of 325 kph.
