Before we start talking about the upcoming Bajaj Pulsar, let us clear some air related to the nomenclature of the upcoming motorcycle. Bajaj will soon reveal the upgraded 150cc variant of the Pulsar brand for the Indian market. Earlier, the name of the product was anticipated as the 160NS. However, the motorcycle was recently previewed to dealers in Turkey and the banners suggested that Bajaj will continue with the 150 name tag.
A near production-ready test mule of the upcoming Bajaj Pulsar 150NS was recently spotted by automotive website Overdrive. The test mule did not have any camouflaging stickers on it and donned a Pulsar 200NS type graphics which suggests that Bajaj may announce the arrival of this product for the Indian market soon. In terms of design, this upcoming motorcycle looks similar to the Pulsar 200NS with the exception of drum brake setup at the rear and the addition of kick-starter.
The current generation Pulsar 150 DTS-i churns out 15.06 PS of power at 9000 RPM and 12.5 Nm of torque at 6500 RPM. We expect the motorcycle to receive a minor power bump which should help the motorcycle sustain competition from the recently updated Yamaha FZ series and the newly launched Suzuki Gixxer 155.
